چکیده
The deployment of Eucalyptus pellita trees that are resistant to Ceratocystis manginecans is essential for the commercial plantations and therefore sustainability forest industries in Southeast Asia utilize this resource. Current screening procedures time-consuming expensive but could be expedited with aid marker-assisted selection breeding. identification genotypes resistance disease may facilitated if microsatellite markers developed other species transferable can linked quantitative trait loci (QTL) resistance. This possibility was tested 111 full-sib progenies their parents by genotyping 49 species. Disease development assessed after stem inoculation C. isolate Am60C. index (DI) varied from 0 20% length. There a continuous distribution susceptible seedlings 60% category. Of 30 acceptable markers, 17 (56%) defined two linkage groups (LG). In each LG, one QTL significant logarithm odds (LODs > 13) identified. transferability rapid LGs QTLs E. pellita. To further refine map, testing more larger population required.

Screening some Iranian Muskmelon Landraces for Resistance Against Fusarium Wilt Disease using Molecular Markers
Fusarium wilt is one of the most destructive diseases of muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.), which is an economically important disease worldwide causes yield losses in muskmelon growing areas. One of the most effective controlling measures to prevent Fusarium wilt is through host resistance by using resistance genes. We used developed molecular markers for Fom-2 gene, which confers ...
متن کاملMapping of a Major QTL for Ceratocystis Wilt Disease in an F1 Population of Theobroma cacao
Cacao is an important crop, its beans are key raw materials for the chocolate and cosmetic industries. Ceratocystis wilt of cacao (CWC) caused by Ceratocystis cacaofunesta is a lethal disease for the crop. Therefore, the selection of resistant cacao varieties is one of the viable ways to minimize losses in cacao production. In this paper, we described the identification of a major QTL associate...
متن کاملUsing RAPD markers potential to identify heritability for growth in Fenneropenaeus indicus
Sampling was done using 90 post larvae which were produced by reproduction of some broodstocks of Fenneropenaeus indicus in one day and reared in the same situation for 4 months. Samples were divided into 3 groups: high, medium and low growth (based on weight and length). Genomic DNA was extracted from muscle tissue using the phenol-chloroform method. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was car...

متن کاملHybrid purity assessment in Eucalyptus F1 hybrids using microsatellite markers
The worldwide expansion of hybrid breeding and clonal forestry is to meet the demands of paper pulp and bioenergy. Although India was one of the pioneers in hybrid production of eucalypts only recently the hybrid clonal forestry is gaining momentum. Inter-specific hybrids are being produced to exploit the hybrid vigor of F1 individuals. Quality control genotyping for hybrid purity and parentage...
